Establishment
The Royal Omani Amateur Radio Society was established on 23 December 1972 by order from His Majesty Late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, A41AA, and then in the year 1993 Royal Decree No: 2/93 was issued to mark the Society as a legal establishment and of public interest.

تأسست الجمعية السلطانية العمانية لهواة اللاسلكي بتاريخ الثالث والعشرين من ديسمبر 1972م بموجب أمر ساِم من لدّن المقام السامي السلطان الراحل/ قابوس بن سعيد – طيب الله ثراه(A41AA) , وفي العام 1993 صدر المرسوم السلطاني رقم 2/93 والذي منحها الشكل القانوني كجمعية ذات نفع عام.
Vision
We will continue to further develop this historical Society and preserve it to become a leading & reputable Society in the Amateur Radio World, and we will also keep up with the latest technology, in this hobby.
التأسيس
سوف نستمر في تطوير هذه الجمعية العريقة والحفاظ عليها لتكون جمعية رائدة وذات صيت وشأن كبيرين في عالم هواية اللآسلكي ، كما سوف نحرص على مواكبة أحدث ما توصلت إليه تقنيات الهواية.
Goals
- Promote Amateur Radio & Manage the activities related to this hobby in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Prepare a young generation well equipped with the knowledge & experience hand in hand with the technology progress worldwide in the Amateur Radio field.
- Establish International friendship between Omani Amateur Radio in the Sultanate of Oman with other Amateurs around the world through this hobby.
أهداف الجمعية
• تنمية هواية اللاسلكي وتنظيم ممارسة الأنشطة المتعلقة بالهواية في سلطنة عمان.
• أعداد جيل من الشباب يتمتع بالخبرة والكفاءة المتناسبة مع التقدم التقني عالمياً في مجال هواية اللاسلكي.
• تكوين صداقات دولية بين هواة اللاسلكي في سلطنة عُمان وغيرهم من الهواة في مختلف دول العالم من خلال هذة الهواية.
