ROARS Annual HF Contest
Our flagship contest event where operators compete to make the most contacts across HF bands. Open to all licensed operators in Oman with categories for different license classes.
VHF/UHF Contest
Regional VHF/UHF contest promoting local communication and technical experimentation with higher frequency bands. Great opportunity for newcomers to participate in competitive operation.
CQ World Wide Participation
ROARS organizes collective participation in the CQ World Wide DX Contest, one of the largest international amateur radio contests. Members operate from the club station using the A41AA callsign.

Annual Field Day 2024
Over 150 operators gathered for a weekend of portable operations in the desert, making over 2,000 contacts worldwide.
National Day Special Event
Special event station activated for Oman's National Day with commemorative QSL cards distributed to all contacts.
JOTA/JOTI 2024
ROARS hosted over 200 Scouts during JOTA weekend, facilitating radio contacts with Scout groups in 30 different countries.
Emergency Communication Workshop
Intensive two-day workshop on emergency communication protocols and portable station deployment with civil defence experts.
Digital Modes Workshop
Hands-on workshop covering FT8, JS8Call, and WSJT-X digital modes. Participants successfully made digital contacts during the session.
