Past Events

Look back at our previous events and their highlights.

The 2024 Field Day was held in the Wahiba Sands desert with over 150 participants. Operators made more than 2,000 contacts across HF bands using portable stations powered by solar panels and generators.

Special event station A41ND was activated for the 54th National Day celebrations. The station operated for three days using multiple bands and modes, including SSB, CW, and FT8.

November 17-19, 2024 1,500+ Contacts 80+ Countries

Over 200 Scouts participated in JOTA at the ROARS headquarters, making radio contacts with Scout groups in 30 countries. The event included hands-on demonstrations and an introduction to amateur radio for beginners.

200+ Scouts 30 Countries ROARS HQ, Muscat

Two-day intensive workshop in coordination with the National Committee for Civil Defence. Participants practiced establishing emergency communication networks and deploying portable stations in remote locations.

The AGM was held at ROARS headquarters with strong member attendance. Key items discussed included the annual financial report, new membership initiatives, equipment upgrades, and election of the new board of directors.
